In his previous position as Associate Vice President for Higher Education of Qatar Foundation, Dr. Hasnah was a key player in the establishment of UCL Qatar and HEC Paris in Qatar, and he took part in the negotiations that led to the establishment of Texas A&M University at Qatar, Carnegie Mellon University in Qatar, Georgetown University School of Foreign Service in Qatar, and Northwestern University in Qatar. In addition to representing Qatar Foundation on the Joint Advisory Boards of TAMUQ, CMUQ, and VCUQatar, Dr. Hasnah served as Vice-Chairman of the Steering Committee of the World Innovation Summit for Education (WISE), and he is a member of the Academic Bridge Program Governing Board. Before joining QF, Dr. Hasnah was Head of the Computer Science and Engineering Department at Qatar University.
Dr. Hasnah received his Master’s and Doctoral degrees in Computer Science from the Illinois Institute of Technology (USA). He graduated from Qatar University with a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and Physics.
