Frédéric Mion

President at Science Po

Frédéric Mion, aged 45, is a Counsel (Maître des Requêtes) at the French Council of State. He became President of Sciences Po in March 2013.

A graduate of the École Nationale d’Administration and the École Normale Supérieure, he also holds a degree from Sciences Po.
He was Head of the Administrative Division of Sciences Po from 1996 to 1999, and taught law in the institution until 2003.
He served as technical advisor to French Minister of Education Jack Lang from 2000 to 2001, and as Deputy Director of the Directorate General of Administration and Civil Service from 2001 to 2003.
In 2003, he joined the law firm of Allen & Overy, leaving in 2007 to become Secretary General of Canal +, where he remained until 2013.
